Tools Required

  • Screwdriver set
  • Tubing wrench for gas connections
  • 7mm box spanner for injectors
  • Torque wrench (9±1 N·m)

  • Do NOT tape rubber seal connection
  • Torque elbow to 9±1 N·m if adjustment needed

For LPG (2.75kPa):

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I convert between natural gas and LPG myself?

No. Gas conversion must be performed by a licensed gas fitter. The conversion kit is included, but installation requires proper training and certification to comply with AS/NZS 5601.1.

Q: What size range hood do I need?

Minimum 90cm wide range hood, installed at least 65cm above the cooktop. Check our compatible Devanti range hoods for best performance.

Q: Can this be installed over an oven?

Yes, if the oven has forced ventilation. You must maintain a 25-74mm gap between the cooktop underside and oven top. Verify oven compatibility in its installation manual.

Q: Why does my flame have yellow tips?

Yellow flames indicate incomplete combustion. Common causes: wrong gas type for current setting, blocked burner holes, or misaligned burner components. Clean all burner parts thoroughly and verify the gas type matches your cooktop setting (natural gas or LPG).

Q: How often should I clean the burners?

Clean burner components every 2-4 weeks depending on usage frequency. Wipe down the surface daily after cooking. Perform a deep clean whenever you notice irregular flames, ignition issues, or reduced performance.

Q: Can I use a wok on this cooktop?

Absolutely! The 3.6kW triple-crown wok burner is specifically designed for high-heat wok cooking. Use flat-bottomed woks for stability, or traditional round-bottom woks with proper support rings. This burner delivers authentic restaurant-style heat for stir-frying.

Q: What's the difference between black and stainless steel models?

Only the surface finish differs. Both models have identical burner configuration, power output, features, and specifications. Choose based on your kitchen aesthetic - black tempered glass for modern kitchens, or stainless steel for traditional styles.

Q: Do I need the auxiliary pan support?

Yes, if you use small pans (under 120mm diameter) on the auxiliary burner. The included pan support prevents tiny pans from tipping over and provides stability for espresso makers, butter warmers, and small saucepans.

Q: How do I test for gas leaks?

Apply soapy water solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate leaks. NEVER use a naked flame to check for leaks. If you detect a leak, turn off the gas supply immediately and call a licensed gas fitter.

Q: Can I install this myself to save money?

You can prepare the cut-out and mount the cooktop, but gas and electrical connections must be performed by licensed tradespeople. This is a legal requirement in Australia and essential for safety and warranty validity.
